The Association of Enugu State Comedians and MCs (ASESCOM) successfully held its General Election on May 20, 2026,

ushering in a new era of leadership for the fast-growing entertainment body in Enugu State.

The election took place at the popular New Barracks Park, Ogui Junction, Enugu State, which also serves as the regular venue for the association’s monthly gatherings and activities. The event witnessed a massive turnout of entertainers, stakeholders, industry veterans, and representatives from various creative organizations across the state. Among the dignitaries and groups present during the election were representatives from DJAN, PMAN, veteran musicians, creators’ associations, and delegates from the Enugu State Government, all of whom came to observe and support the democratic process of the association. The election process was peaceful, transparent, and highly organized, reflecting the unity and professionalism among members of ASESCOM. Immediately after the announcement of results, the newly elected executives were officially sworn into office the same day amid cheers and celebrations from members and supporters.
