Emeka John Ejiogu Times have gone by, years have counted by yet you still stood out immeasurably and unarguably a sound man. Many who are deemed responsible and well to do today were battered and swallowed in uncertainty of life who stood on your strong wings to be men of honour today… We easily forgot due to we are often eaten up by our gullible nature, Hon Ejiogu, there was a time, there were times your humble house was the only last hope of a common ohuhu man in distress, I could remember vividly on one occasion the gate man guiding your gate stopped people from coming into your compound to see you, there was a heated up arguement which made you to wake up very early only to come out and behold it’s your constituents and on the spot you instructed your gate man never to lock any of the compound gates against no one …. And from that very moment your gates remained OPEN TO ALL.. Hon Ejiogu, times have gone by the records you set us yet to be replicated by any who assumed your position. So many ohuhu constituents became first hand graduates in Bsc and MSc and PhD all by your making, there is no single day financial settlement of students are not carried out in great numbers under your watch… People do forget easily, before 7am each day your house is filled up with families, parents and children, who either needed finances for university or secondary school fees and all of them in numbers goes home with goodnews of their needs been sorted. Hon Ejiogu, you were the biggest tree 🌲 that gave shade to alot of lives, many saw the light through your candles 🕯️ your political standard to your constituents May never be met unless In the world to come. Many people tends to change their tongue once they see the rain is no longer falling from your end and to entirety they forget the good old days.. Hon sir, you were the Ochendo of ohuhu land, you were the governor we never had, time shall tell….. I can’t mention names of ward chairmen who never believed they will owe a bicycle 🚴 but you made them car 🚘 owners on a platter. Widows felt remarried due to the goodness you showered on them. There are many men of honour in ohuhu but none maybe equated to your standard politically. Today I stand tall to appreciate you and wave a truck full of thanks to you, many have forgotten about all your contributions to your constituents years ago which are still very fresh in my memories, many are already eating from the fresh oil mill but you were once a man whose farm served the entire people. There will be no better representation than the one you gave the constituents. Today I appreciate you because you hold a special place in my heart and the heart of many. You were a father to many and a helper to many in ages past. Families were engulfed by sleepless nights but you took them off in a second and restored total harmony in many homes 🏡. Hon Ejiogu you deserved to be honoured yearly in recognition of your service to humanity. One will ask: Where are the families you saved from hardships? Where are the phD students who schooled under you financially support? Where are the Bsc students who the only degree earned academically was at your mercy?
