GOVERNOR PETER MBAH SPENDS FULL DAY IN ANINRI, COMMISSIONS PROJECTS, HAILS NWANJOKU AS BEST PERFORMING, MOST PROACTIVE AND TRUSTED LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN

Aninri stakeholders endorse Nwanjoku's leadership as governor's interactive grassroots engagement draws massive crowds in Nenwe and Oduma

ANINRI, ENUGU STATE: It was a remarkable day of political engagement, project commissioning and grassroots interaction in Aninri Local Government Area as the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, spent an entire day touring development projects, interacting with residents and commissioning key infrastructure across Aninri West and Aninri North Development Centres.

The governor's visit, which extended into the late hours of Friday night, was far from the usual political campaign outing. Rather, it presented an opportunity for the governor to personally assess ongoing development efforts, commission completed projects, engage directly with the people and listen to their expectations from government.

At the centre of the impressive development story was the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku Stephen, whose administration's visible infrastructural achievements attracted special commendation from Governor Mbah.

During the visit, Governor Mbah openly described Nwanjoku as a best-performing, highly proactive, hardworking, responsive and vibrant local government chairman, further acknowledging him as a trusted son whose performance had earned his confidence and satisfaction.

The governor's commendation was particularly significant given the scale of infrastructural development undertaken through the partnership between the state government and the Aninri Local Government administration.

SEVEN SMART GREEN SCHOOLS, SEVEN TYPE-C PRIMARY HEALTHCARE CENTRES COMMISSIONED

The governor's development tour covered Nenwe in Aninri West Development Centre and Oduma in Aninri North Development Centre, where he commissioned seven Smart Green Schools and seven Type-C Primary Healthcare Centres.

One of the most remarkable moments of the visit occurred when Governor Mbah moved beyond the ceremonial commissioning of the Smart Green Schools and entered the classrooms to interact directly with students and teachers.

In an inspiring demonstration of his commitment to education, the governor personally engaged the pupils, taught students and exchanged ideas with teachers, reinforcing his administration's determination to transform the education sector through modern learning infrastructure and improved teaching standards.

His classroom engagement sent a strong message that education development must go beyond constructing buildings; it must also involve improving the quality of teaching, learning and the overall educational experience of children.

The commissioning of the seven Type-C Primary Healthcare Centres equally demonstrated the government's commitment to bringing accessible and quality healthcare services closer to rural communities.

ODUMA WELCOMES GOVERNOR MBAH AFTER HOURS AS NWANJOKU'S PROJECTS STEAL THE SHOW

The atmosphere became even more remarkable when Governor Mbah arrived in Oduma, Aninri North Development Centre, at approximately 7:05 p.m.

Despite the late arrival, thousands of enthusiastic residents, stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women and supporters who had reportedly been waiting since 10:00 a.m. remained at the venue to receive the governor.

Their patience and excitement reflected the enormous interest generated by the governor's visit and the political significance of the engagement.

However, what appeared to impress Governor Mbah most was the impressive catalogue of infrastructure presented by Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku.

The governor expressed delight over the asphalted roads constructed under the Aninri development drive, the ambitious 200-bedded General Hospital project nearing completion, and the ongoing revamping and remodelling of the Aninri Local Government Headquarters.

These projects, alongside other development interventions, formed a significant part of the achievements showcased during the visit.

Governor Mbah's reaction to the projects culminated in glowing public commendations for the Aninri council chairman, whom he described in exceptionally positive terms as a project-driven leader, a proactive administrator and a chairman who responds to the needs and aspirations of his people.

His description of Nwanjoku as a trusted son with whom he was well pleased further highlighted the cordial working relationship and development partnership between the state government and the Aninri Local Government administration.

ANINRI NORTH PEOPLE RESPOND WITH ENDORSEMENT AND POLITICAL SOLIDARITY

The governor's interactive engagement also provided an opportunity for the people of Aninri North to express their appreciation, expectations and political positions.

Following the presentation of projects and the governor's commendation of the council chairman, residents and stakeholders openly demonstrated their support for Nwanjoku's leadership and endorsed his continued political relevance.

The endorsement reflected the confidence expressed by sections of the Aninri political community in the chairman's leadership style, accessibility and commitment to grassroots development.

For many observers, the visit demonstrated the growing importance of performance-based leadership and the value of collaboration between state and local governments in delivering tangible democratic dividends.

A NEW MODEL OF GRASSROOTS GOVERNANCE

Beyond the commissioning ceremonies and political endorsements, Governor Mbah's Aninri visit introduced a remarkable dimension to grassroots governance in Enugu State.

Rather than limiting his engagement to speeches from campaign platforms, the governor visited schools, interacted with teachers and students, inspected development interventions and listened directly to the people.

His decision to spend the entire day in Aninri, extending the engagement well into the night, demonstrated the importance his administration attaches to grassroots participation, accountability and project monitoring.

The successful conclusion of the interactive campaign at approximately 8:45 p.m. in an atmosphere of peace and enthusiasm marked a memorable moment for Aninri Local Government Area.

For Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku Stephen, the governor's visit and public recognition represented a significant endorsement of his administration's development-oriented approach.

For the people of Aninri, the day was more than a political gathering. It was an opportunity to showcase their community, receive assurances of continued government attention and witness the commissioning of projects designed to improve education, healthcare, transportation and public infrastructure.

Indeed, Friday's historic engagement will remain a significant chapter in Aninri's development story — a day when governance moved beyond political speeches into classrooms, healthcare facilities, roads and direct conversations with the people.

Aninri witnessed not just a governor's visit, but a public demonstration of the power of collaboration, grassroots engagement and development-driven leadership.
