BREAKING:THE REASON WHY I EXPOSED MY BOSS, ANINRI LAW MAKER OPENS UP ON PRINCE UGOCHUKWU NWANJOKU'S ONE YEAR IN THE OFFICE.
One Year of Transformative Leadership in Aninri LGA
Reporter: Rt. Hon. Sunday Olisemeka, thank you for joining us on Apple TV Africa News. We would like you to give us a clearer picture of how Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku has fared in his first year as the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area.
Rt. Hon. Sunday Olisemeka: Thank you very much. Hon. Nwanjoku’s first year in office has been nothing short of remarkable. His vision for Aninri is not just about governance, but about transformation with a human face. Within twelve months, he has successfully repositioned the council headquarters with projects that speak for themselves. The Aninri Lion Building has been fully renovated into a modern edifice, and brand-new transformers have been distributed to communities, ensuring that rural electrification is no longer a dream but a reality.
Beyond that, he initiated the construction of key structures—such as the Aninri Legislative Complex, the Traditional Rulers’ Council building, and an entirely new Secretariat—bringing governance closer to the people. His style reflects a deliberate attempt to leave enduring footprints.
Reporter: Many residents have spoken about both physical projects and policy directions. Could you outline some of the broader impacts this administration has made in just one year?
Rt. Hon. Sunday Olisemeka: Absolutely. What we are witnessing is an all-round development blueprint. Education has received significant attention, with deliberate measures aimed at improving standards in our schools. Security, which remains a challenge across the nation, has been strengthened in Aninri through coordinated local initiatives. Agriculture is another area where the Chairman has pushed boundaries—encouraging economic growth and empowering farmers as a direct means of lifting rural families.
On infrastructure, we cannot fail to mention the road network projects, especially the 4km Obuegu–Ezinato road, which is already at about 70% completion with a dual drainage system. These feeder roads are not just about transportation, they are gateways to commerce, connectivity, and community integration. To support governance, he has appointed over 372 political aides so far—an indication that inclusivity and grassroots participation remain the hallmarks of his leadership.
Reporter: Finally, from your observation, what defines the character of his administration, and what can the people expect as we move forward?
Rt. Hon. Sunday Olisemeka: What truly defines Hon. Nwanjoku’s leadership is his commitment to transparency, accountability, and synergy with stakeholders. He listens, consults, and implements policies that reflect collective aspirations. The narrative of Aninri is changing because governance is now seen as a shared responsibility.
In one year, he has proven that “our tomorrow is not a distant hope—it is already unfolding.” If such momentum is sustained, Aninri LGA will continue to stand as a model of innovative local governance in Nigeria.
