BREAKING;ANINRI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AT WAR WITH ILLEGAL MINERS.

HON.PRINCE UGOCHUKWU NWANJOKU , THE NEWLY ELECTED AND SWORN IN EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF ANINRI LGA IN ENUGU STATE IS READY AND HAS COMMENCED WORKS AND MATCHING HIS WORDS WITH ACTIONS.

As Aninri LGA Intensifies Revenue Generation, Cracks Down on Illegal Mining

Aninri, Enugu State — In a strategic move to enhance the internally generated revenue (IGR) of Aninri Local Government Area (LGA), Executive Chairman, Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku, has escalated efforts to harness the area's abundant natural resources. In a closed-door meeting with federal, state, and local stakeholders responsible for the management of mineral resources, Nwanjoku outlined the critical need to optimize the local government’s revenue streams amid growing developmental demands.

During the meeting, the chairman highlighted the pressing financial challenges the council faces in fulfilling the high expectations of the populace regarding infrastructure and human capital development. He acknowledged that Aninri's current reliance on federal allocations was insufficient to meet these ambitious goals. As a result, the local government is looking inward, focusing on the rich deposits of metallic, non-metallic, and energy minerals scattered across the region, including limestone, magnesium, natural gas, iron ore, and phosphate.

"While we commend the federal allocation, it is evident that these funds are inadequate to tackle the vast developmental challenges before us. We must, therefore, aggressively pursue local opportunities to bridge the gap," Nwanjoku emphasized.

The chairman praised the efforts of Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, for his innovative approach to revenue generation, which has significantly contributed to the state’s progress in various sectors. Nwanjoku assured that Aninri LGA would mirror such strides by fully tapping into its mineral wealth, ensuring that the economic potential of these resources is harnessed for the benefit of both the local population and the state at large.

He stressed that strict adherence to due process in mining operations would be non-negotiable, warning that any attempt to bypass established regulations or engage in illegal mining would be met with severe consequences. "No favoritism will be tolerated," Nwanjoku stated firmly. "Cutting corners not only undermines government revenue but also damages the integrity of the management process."

The chairman reiterated that contrary to circulating rumors, he had not allocated mining sites to any individuals or groups. Instead, he reaffirmed the local government's commitment to working closely with both state and federal authorities to ensure the proper management and equitable distribution of the area's mineral wealth.

“We are sitting on a goldmine of resources. Now is the time to act decisively and responsibly to ensure these riches are used to improve the lives of our people. But that starts with proper leadership and ensuring compliance with all legal frameworks,” he added.

Nwanjoku also issued a stern warning to illegal miners operating in the region, cautioning that their activities not only threaten the environment but also rob the government and citizens of valuable income that could be used for critical developmental projects such as infrastructure upgrades, employment generation, and technological advancement.

“Illegal mining will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We must work together to build a prosperous future, and that requires discipline and cooperation from everyone,” he concluded.

As Aninri LGA embarks on this renewed effort to boost its internally generated revenue, the local government calls on all stakeholders—both public and private—to collaborate in the responsible and efficient exploitation of its natural resources, ensuring sustainable development for the benefit of present and future generations.

— End of Report —by Hon.Sunday Olisemeka dgn

This bold initiative is poised to elevate Aninri LGA’s economic standing, positioning it as a model for resource-rich local governments across Nigeria seeking to achieve self-sufficiency and robust growth.

SHOCKING;AS HON.PRINCE UGOCHUKWU NWANJOKU RECEIVES THE FLAG, LISTEN TO WHAT THE GOVERNOR SAID

Vote PDP Candidates IN all the 17 local government Areas to Consolidate Ongoing N1bn projects in Every Ward, Mbah Urges Enugu Voters*

Today 18th September 2024 despites the busy schedules of campaigns going on everywhere in the state PDP organized one of the most arranged general campaign to synergize all the campaigns so far.

As campaigns gradually wind down ahead of the September 21 Council Chairmanship and Councillorship polls in Enugu State, Governor Peter Mbah has urged the electorate to vote  the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to consolidate his administration’s development strides.

Mbah, who is also the PDP leader in the state, said that his administration was already undertaking over 1,000 projects across Enugu State, with at least N1bn worth of projects for each of the 260 wards.

The governor spoke at the grand finale of the PDP campaign, which was held at Okpara Square, Enugu, on Wednesday.

Speaking amid fanfare, Mbah said, “When we say power to the people in PDP, we understand where power belongs. You entrusted your mandate to those who will hit the ground running. We are currently executing over 1,000 projects in our state. What that means is that you have not entrusted your future to people who will use it for trial and error.

“We are building in your various wards, 260 Smart Green Schools and 260 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres. It is not just about the brick and mortar. It is to ensure that every child has access to quality learning. It is not just about quality learning. We are talking about  robotics, mechatronics, augmented realities, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and computer-generated images. The idea is that 10 to 15 years from now, no child in Enugu State would ever be poor.

“We are spending over a billion naira in every ward. What that means is that we are generating wealth in every community. The bye-products of these activities are employment-generation and wealth-creation so that our people would no longer be hungry. It is not about giving you handouts. It is about providing you jobs so you can work and get paid.”

He noted that the PDP took conscious steps to elect credible candidates in the council primary election, knowing that the rural communities were the most developmentally challenged.

“If we are feeling the impact of governance of PDP at the state level, it means that we must cascade it to the grassroots because we are only as good as our weakest link.

“We understand that our weakest point is our rural areas and that is why we have gone through the rigorous process of conducting credible primaries that threw up the best of our best to go to our various local governments to serve us.

“The programmes and projects that we are executing need to be consolidated. We need men and women whose track record and integrity cannot be questioned; people who have demonstrated in their various places of work that they are able to deliver; and those are the people we are presenting to you to support come Saturday.

“You must all come out en masse. Take nothing for granted; do not say it is a foregone conclusion, PDP has won. You must come out and cast your votes.

“I am assuring you that these men of integrity and competence that are coming to join us to consolidate the work we are doing in our various communities will not fail you. We are going to make sure that they deliver,” he stated.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the PDP in Enugu State, Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, said the party’s State Executive Committee campaigned in all the LGAs, while the chairmanship candidates campaigned intensively in all the 260 wards, noting, however, that they did not see the opposition campaigning anywhere.

THIS IS THE POWERFUL STATEMENT OF THE PARTY STATE CHAIRMAN“

If you do not campaign, how do you hope to win? It is a walkover. Nevertheless, we urge our supporters to come out and vote en masse to make the needed statement,” he stated.

Many Other party chieftains and active functionary and members , including the Speaker, Hon. Uchenna Ugwu; Senate Minority Whip, Senator Osita Ngwu; Member representing Nkanu East/Nkanu West Federal Constituency, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji; the State PDP Woman Leader, Hon. Peace Patrick; the State PDP Youth Leader, Hon. Benneth Ajah; and the immediate past Chairman of the Enugu State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, and Chairmanship candidate of the party in Nkanu East, Hon. Okechukwu Edeh, stressed that the governor’s myriad of projects across every nook and cranny in just 15 months had already campaigned and secured victory for the party..

Speaking to the newsmen and reporters of APPLETV AFRICA, the party’s chairmanship flagbearer OF ANINRI LGA, Hon. PRINCE UGOCHUKWU NWANJOKU A.K.A PROTOCOL BREAKER , highlighted  the governor’s numerous projects had weakened the vestiges of opposition parties because they have nothing to hold for their accusations .

PDP is the only party in Enugu and PDP is making Enugu proud , that is why even the labour party has to withdraw from the race .

FACTS; GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI MADE A VERY WRONG CHOICE

WHY THOSE WHO ASSISTED OKEZIE IKPEAZU TO MILK ABIANS FUND AS TC CHAIRMAN CAN NEVER BE ELECTED AS CHAIRMEN BY ALEX OTTI

The reason why Otti should be careful with the LGA chairmanship positions.

Logically it is either he shit himself on the leg or get it right.

His actions for the people and choices for the position will determine his success in 2027.

He needs to position men who are capable of delivering their areas rather than considering those who assisted in 2023 it will be profitable if Otti looks deeper into the real materials around and exploit their wider reach to the people.

Almost every LGA is going through rough period where those who believes in the process is vying to become chairman while those who believe to be close to the governor is claiming anointed but be it as it may Otti'

s decision will make a greater part to his success or failure in 2027.
UMUAHIA NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT IS THE WORST OF IT ALL.

It will be even more profitable and productive if Otti will throw the 17 lga chairmanship and councilor back to the people to decide by supervising and conducting a credible primaries in his party LP and transparent elections where the interest of the people will be protected and the return or feedback will immortality in abia state history.
